About MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital
MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital—part of MedStar Health and one of the top acute care hospitals in the mid-Atlantic—is a regional system of rehabilitation care that offers inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient services in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Our network is comprised of inpatient rehabilitation at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, acute-care rehabilitation at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and more than 50 outpatient rehabilitation clinics across our region.
Our reputation for providing high-quality care and strong rehab programs throughout the region is what sets us apart. While we offer a comprehensive set of services, our network specializes in amputation, stroke, cancer, pediatric, as well as brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
Since opening its doors in 1986, MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital has grown from a single hospital to offering inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient services (through our MedStar Health Physical Therapy clinics) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia. We are the largest, free-standing, comprehensive acute rehabilitation hospital in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore region.
Our mission of Adding Life to Years® has not only propelled the growth of our hospital, it has also allowed us to take on some of the nation's most complex cases. Driven by our use of the latest technology, our research partnership with Georgetown University School of Medicine, and our nationally recognized Education and Residency program, MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital continues to strive at providing industry leading inpatient care.
